In this course we will take a journey through Ireland's rich and fascinating musical history. We will select songs, working not only with traditional Irish folk songs, but also explore the music of contemporary pop and rock bands and singer-songwriters such as The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, The Pogues, Van Morrison, U2.... All are undeniably part of Ireland's rich musical heritage and identity. All instruments and singers welcome in this series. We will play, sing, arrange and rehearse. We will conclude this course with a small tone moment at WISPER's presentation day in Ghent on June 8.
