In the morning, we start working on a theme of your choice, such as people, landscapes, or cities. Using an image, photo, or object as a reference, you draw or paint on transparent media such as tracing paper, projector sheets, translucent fabrics, and light-transmitting paper. You experiment with light and heavy lines, planes, stripes, and dots, empty spaces, and fillings.

Then you enlarge or reduce your work with the copier — in whole or in fragments, diagonally or straight, horizontally and vertically— creating a rich series of variations in different formats.

In the afternoon, you'll further edit your copies by cutting, shifting, folding, and perforating them. In this way, the separate parts grow into new visual stories and landscapes, in which fragments complement each other and together form a surprising whole. Finally, you'll add color accents, fabric, and thread structures to give the collages extra depth and texture. The end result is a series of unique works in which drawing, collage, and textile processing merge and in which we discover new creative possibilities.

At the end of the day, we weave our first transparent morning works together as a group. Different styles, fragments, and layers overlap to form a new layered visual story.
