ZOMERWEEK | Bodywork and movement: inspired by ILM and Feldenkrais
ILM, short for the Ilan lev Method, was developed in Israel in the nineties as Ilan took the ideas he learned from Feldenkrais and developed them into a more dynamic and integral movement method designed to improve the human ability, remove limitations, pains, problems and create a revolution in one's abilities.
He gave regular ILM treatments to the Batsheva dancers and exchanged a lot with Ohad Naharin which can be seen in the similarities of both their methods.
Ohad says about ILM:
"I find Ilan's work an amazing gift to dancers and people alike. His work helps the body's own regeneration. It brings movement to blocked areas in the body, it comes with positive energy and sense of joy, it can help quicker recovery from "fresh injuries" as well as heal ״old״ ones...
It helped me to become more efficient with my movement and gave me a more balanced body. His work is intelligent, thoughtful, considerate, and serves as a constant research method for growth, for Ilan himself as well as for those he works with."
Highly recommended for all dancers, but also for singers and actors!
