LUX Contact Improvisation: intensive exploration

You’ve been practicing CI for some time and are eager to explore and discover more about this very rich dance form? CI touches many layers of our moving human being in relation to other moving beings and to the world.

This intensive training offers you the time and space for a fascinating process of exploration, with 3 different teachers, each with an own flavor to add to the course.

We will work to develop an available, highly aware and intelligent body, ready to meet other bodies and their weight, ready to play and to create the moment together. We will focus on movement exploration, technical skills and improvisational tools. We will explore how mind, heart and body come and flow together in dance.

A somatic approach will alternate with pure physical exploration, always finding moments to integrate information back into the dance. On Day Of Dance, April 27th, we might even explore site specific possibilities and performative aspects of the form.
